Livestock Quiz Bowl is a team quiz competition where all the questions are about beef, sheep, swine, and goats! Competitors are one team of 3-4. A contest consists of matches against other teams, were they compete to buzz in to answer the questions, kind of like Jeopardy!

Competition in  Livestock Quiz Bowl encourages members to develop a more complete knowledge of the animals they show, Texas animal agriculture, and more.  This contest provides an educational program for all 4-H members, even those who may not be able to participate in an project animal. Livestock Quiz Bowl offer 4-H’ers the opportunity to develop lasting friendships, study skills, teamsmanship, self-confidence, and more.  Livestock Quiz Bowl is a great parallel to some similar programs that breed associations and other organizations may conduct. Livestock Quiz Bowl is great for those competing in Livestock Judging, Skillathons, etc. as the knowledge gained can be used in both competitions!
