The Gold Star Award is the highest achievement award available through the Texas 4-H and Youth Development Program. It will be awarded only once in a member’s 4-H career. To maintain the quality of the award, the following criteria will be considered the minimum. Any 4-H member not meeting these criteria will not be considered for the award. The organization may choose not to award the Gold Star Award if there are not 4-H members in the county who exceed the minimum criteria. The maximum number of Gold Star Award recipients will not exceed two (2).
The Golden Clover Award is a county level achievement award available through the Wilson County 4-H Program. It will be awarded only once in a member’s 4-H career. To maintain the quality of the award, the following criteria will be considered the minimum. Any 4-H member not meeting these criteria will not be considered for the award. The organization may choose not to award the Golden Clover Award if there are not 4-H members in the county who exceed the minimum criteria. The maximum number of Golden Clover Award recipients will not exceed one (1).
The National Leadership Award, better known as the Danforth- I Dare You Award is a National level achievement award available through the American Youth Foundation in partnership with Texas 4-H and Youth Development Program. This award focus’ heavily on leadership rather than overall 4-H experience. It will be awarded only once in a member’s 4-H career. To maintain the quality of the award, the following criteria will be considered the minimum. Any 4-H member not meeting these criteria will not be considered for the award. The organization may choose not to award the Danforth- “I Dare You” Award if there are not 4-H members in the county who exceed the minimum criteria. The maximum number of Danforth – “I Dare You” recipients in Wilson County will not exceed two (2).
The Green Clover Award is a county level achievement award available through the Wilson County 4-H Program. It will be awarded only once in a member’s 4-H career. To maintain the quality of the award, the following criteria will be considered the minimum. Any 4-H member not meeting these criteria will not be considered for the award. The organization may choose not to award the Green Clover Award if there are not 4-H members in the county who exceed the minimum criteria. The maximum number of Green Clover Award recipients will not exceed three (3).
The Silver Star Award is the highest achievement award available to Intermediate level 4-H’ers through the Texas 4-H and Youth Development Program. It will be awarded only once in a member’s 4-H career. To maintain the quality of the award, the following criteria will be considered the minimum. Any 4-H member not meeting these criteria will not be considered for the award. The organization may choose not to award the Silver Star Award if there are not 4-H members in the county who exceed the minimum criteria. The maximum number of Silver Star recipients in Wilson County will not exceed four (4).
The Bronze Star Award is the highest achievement award available to Junior level 4-H’ers through the Texas 4-H and Youth Development Program. It will be awarded only once in a member’s 4-H career. To maintain the quality of the award, the following criteria will be considered the minimum. Any 4-H member not meeting these criteria will not be considered for the award. The organization may choose not to award the Bronze Star Award if there are not 4-H members in the county who exceed the minimum criteria. The maximum number of Bronze Star recipients in Wilson County will not exceed ten (10).
The Rookie of the Year Award is a county level award available through the Wilson County 4-H Program. This award is given to first year members of 4-H. It will be awarded only once in a member’s 4-H career. To maintain the quality of the award, the following criteria will be considered the minimum. Any 4-H member not meeting these criteria will not be considered for the award. The organization may choose not to award the Rookie of the Year Award if there are not 4-H members in the county who exceed the minimum criteria. The maximum number of Rookie of the Year Award recipients will not exceed one (1).
